Admissions Requirements
For the Bachelor of Applied Science degree, transfer students must have the following:
- AAS Degree - Earned an Associate of Applied Science
- College GPA - 2.0 cumulative GPA on all credit hours*
- Good Academic Standing

Complete Application
The application at https://apply.msstate.edu requires general information, parental/guardian information, and academic information.
Submit Documentation
Request that official transcripts from all previously attended colleges or universities are sent to the Office of Admissions.
- Proof of immunity to Rubeola, Rubella, and Mumps
- Official transcripts from ALL previously attended colleges or universities. Transcripts can be sent from a Transcript Service or by School Officials emailing them to admit@msstate.edu
Pay Application Fee
The $40 non-refundable application fee can be paid by credit card in the application, by phone at 662-325-2224, or by mail.
Application Deadlines
MSU has a rolling admissions policy. The application for each semester will remain open until the 10th day of classes.
Applications and all official transcripts must be delivered to MSU Admissions for consideration.

Campus Visit
The best way for a student to experience Mississippi State University is to visit campus... multiple times! MSU offers campus visit opportunities throughout the year, including targeted programming to assist throughout each stage of a student's college search process. If the date you want is not available, call the MSU Campus Visits Office at (662) 325-0539.
Virtual Visits
For your convenience, we are pleased to offer a variety of virtual experiences for counselors and students interested in learning more about MSU. Within this one hour-long session, you will be able to talk live with an Admissions Counselor, and discuss topics such as our academic programs, student life, housing, and admissions/scholarships processes.
