Whitney Gardner
When I graduated high school, I was not one hundred percent sure what career I wanted to devote the rest of my life to. I ultimately decided on becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant and earned my degree at Meridian Community College then began working primarily in long-term care. As the years passed, I aspired to return to college and complete my bachelor's degree, but I had no idea where to start.
In the last two years, I have learned many things that have real-world applications for not only me but also the patients and healthcare professionals that I work with daily. Kinesiology and psychology classes have provided fresh insights on foundational concepts I learned years ago, while other classes in subjects such as business and communication have provided me with useful tools for continued professional development and the possibility of pursuing different career paths in the future. I am beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to achieve my goals.
